Jeff Crippen lived a quiet life and enjoyed listening to audio books and staying abreast of current politics. He was a U.S. President enthusiast, and visited Mt. Vernon, Monticello and other historic presidential homes more times than he could count. He also was a profound expert on both the Civil and Revolutionary Wars. That vast knowledge and love was evidenced by his lifelong collection of artifacts and memorabilia.

Jeff had two Chihuahuas, Violet and Penny. They were his family and truly the children he never had. After he passed away in September of 2023, Violet and Penny found a loving home together through Young-Williams and will continue living their best lives. A fitting tribute to his life as an animal lover, Jeff’s legacy will live on through the extraordinary difference he chose to make for the lost, stray, injured, abused and neglected pets of the Knoxville community.
